About Beauty School

Beauty School is a vibrant six-piece alt-rock band originating from Yorkshire, England, known for their dynamic fusion of emo, pop-punk, and indie-rock elements. Emerging from the energetic Leeds music scene, the band—fronted by vocalist Joe Cabrera—spent years refining their sound and lineup, drawing from diverse local influences before solidifying their distinctive identity. Their debut album, released in September 2022 through Slam Dunk Records and produced by James Kenosha (renowned for his work with Dinosaur Pile-Up and Pulled Apart By Horses), captures a seamless blend of alternative rock and emo-infused melodies, resonating with fans of American Football, The Menzingers, and The Gaslight Anthem.

Building on this foundation, Beauty School’s sophomore record, "From Now On," channels the spirit of 90s radio rock bands such as Third Eye Blind and Jimmy Eat World, delivering introspective and ambitious pop-punk tunes. The album delves into deeply personal themes including grief, mental health, loneliness, and the pressures of modern corporate life, showcasing Cabrera’s poignant lyricism. Renowned for their high-energy live performances, Beauty School have toured extensively alongside acts like The Wonder Years, Hot Mulligan, and State Champs, while making notable appearances at major UK festivals including Slam Dunk, Download, and 2000 Trees. Through relentless touring and a commitment to authentic storytelling, Beauty School has firmly established themselves as a defining voice within the UK’s emo and alternative rock scene.
