About Guerilla Toss

Emerging from Boston’s vibrant DIY psychedelic punk scene in 2012, Guerilla Toss has grown into a formidable force in the art rock landscape, now based in New York. Known for their electrifying live shows, the band masterfully fuses elements of electroclash, no wave dissonance, and dance-punk urgency. Their sound is a wild yet meticulously crafted blend, drawing inspiration from pioneers like ESG, Public Image Ltd., Brian Eno, and Sonic Youth, filtered through an experimental and caustic lens.

Fronted by the dynamic Kassie Carlson, Guerilla Toss captivates audiences with her intense stage presence—her crowd-surfing and moshing feel both raw and deliberately choreographed. The band’s music pulses with infectious grooves and inventive hooks, inviting listeners to move with a unique, feral danceability. Drummer Peter Negroponte anchors their intricate rhythms and shifting time signatures, showcasing a rhythmic wizardry that complements the band’s unpredictable energy.

Guerilla Toss has steadily expanded their reach, supporting iconic acts such as Pavement, Primus, and Coheed & Cambria on major tours. Whether in the studio or on stage, they consistently deliver thrilling, uncompromising performances that balance sharp composition with wild, expressive power. This distinctive blend cements Guerilla Toss as a vital, relentlessly creative presence in modern art rock.
