About blankstate.

blankstate is an indie-emo trio from Charlotte, North Carolina, who have steadily carved a distinct niche within the contemporary emo revival scene. Known for their heartfelt, emotionally charged sound, the band blends introspective lyricism with melodic guitar work and emotive vocals, creating music that resonates deeply with listeners seeking authentic storytelling and catharsis. Their signature phrase, "I hope the world lasts for you," embodies the earnest vulnerability and existential reflection that permeates their work, exploring themes of resilience, connection, and the fragile nature of existence.

Emerging from a vibrant local music scene, blankstate’s genuine songwriting and raw authenticity have earned them a dedicated following. Their sound combines intimate instrumentation with poignant messages, capturing both hope and melancholy in a way that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable. Collaborations with visual artist Lila Rosser have further enriched their artistic vision, pairing evocative imagery with their sonic landscapes to create a cohesive and immersive experience.

As they continue to grow, blankstate stands out as a compelling voice in modern indie-emo, unafraid to wear their hearts on their sleeves and offer a sincere reflection of the complexities of contemporary life. Their music remains a beacon for fans who crave emotional depth paired with melodic nuance, establishing blankstate as a lasting presence in the genre.
