About Los Locos Descalzos

Los Locos Descalzos is a vibrant Spanish musical trio formed in October 2015 in Rivas Vaciamadrid, a neighborhood that shaped their musical roots. The group comprises Nico Martos on bass and vocals, Álvaro Navarro handling guitar, Cuban tres, kalimba, flute, and vocals, alongside Alan Denis de la Sierra on drums, percussion, and vocals. Before officially coming together as Los Locos Descalzos, the trio honed their craft for over 14 years, collaborating on diverse projects such as The Swingmians, Gypsy & Dixie, Flying Cactus, Colectivo Loaira, and La Pena.

The band made an impactful debut, opening for the renowned Fito y Fitipaldis in Tenerife, which helped cement their reputation in the Spanish music scene. Since then, Los Locos Descalzos has gained recognition as the trusted backing band for singer-songwriter Pedro Pastor, contributing significantly to his acclaimed albums "SoloLuna" (2017), "Vulnerables" (2019), "Vueltas" (2021), and "Escorpiano" (2024). Their work with producers Diego Galaz and Gustavo Guerrero has elevated their sound, enabling them to tour extensively throughout Spain and Latin America.

Beyond their collaboration with Pedro Pastor, Los Locos Descalzos have showcased their versatility by contributing to Luis Pastor’s "La Paloma de Picasso" (2020) and Costa Rican artist Berenice’s "Nido" (2023). Each member also pursues solo ventures and session work, while actively engaging in music education. Melding traditional instrumentation with modern grooves, Los Locos Descalzos continue to captivate audiences with their eclectic sound and compelling performances.
