About Skinny Lister

Since forming in London in 2009, Skinny Lister has emerged as a dynamic force within the folk-punk scene, captivating audiences with their infectious energy and compelling storytelling. Blending traditional folk instrumentation with punk’s raw vigor, the British band has evolved from playing rain-soaked gigs on narrow boats to headlining major festivals across Europe and North America, including the renowned Download Festival. Their live shows are celebrated for sparking spirited mosh-pits and pogoing crowds, reflecting a unique fusion of folk authenticity and punk rebellion.

Skinny Lister’s rise to prominence has been fueled by relentless touring alongside esteemed acts such as Frank Turner, Dropkick Murphys, and Flogging Molly, as well as by selling out their own headline performances. Their discography, spanning four albums, charts a compelling artistic journey marked by growth and maturity. The 2019 release, "The Story Is…", produced by Barny Barnicott—who is known for collaborations with Arctic Monkeys and The Temper Trap—showcases the band’s evolution toward emotionally open, anthemic pop-folk. This album transforms everyday experiences into resonant, uplifting songs that celebrate hope, joy, and shared human moments.

With a reputation for crowd-rousing performances and relatable lyrics, Skinny Lister continues to build a devoted global following, solidifying their place as one of folk-punk’s most vibrant and enduring acts.
