About Mano Walter

Mano Walter, born in Quebrangulo, Alagoas, Brazil, is a prominent figure in contemporary Brazilian forró music, known for his authentic blend of traditional rhythms and modern appeal. Growing up in a rural environment as the son of teacher Elineusa and cattle rancher Djalma, Walter’s musical roots run deep. He began singing and composing from a young age, performing at local vaquejadas—traditional cattle-herding events—in the Alagoas countryside alongside his father.

After completing technical school in Palmeiras dos Índios, where he recorded his debut album *Cavalo Ciumento* with family support, Walter moved to Maceió to pursue engineering studies and later a postgraduate degree. During this time, inspired by his cousin Vavá Machado, he formed his first forró band. What began as a passionate hobby turned into a professional career about six years ago, leading to nationwide recognition fueled by a devoted fanbase and close-knit support from his family and band members.

Mano Walter’s music combines heartfelt lyrics with vibrant melodies, reflecting both his rural upbringing and personal experiences. Signed with Universal Music Group, he has become a respected and beloved artist in the Brazilian music scene. Beyond his growing catalog of hits, Mano Walter treasures his family and the joy his music brings to fans, solidifying his place as an enduring voice in forró and regional Brazilian music.
