About Prospa

Leeds-based electronic duo Prospa, composed of Harvey Blumler and Gosha Smith, has carved out a distinctive niche by revitalizing the sounds of classic house and rave-era dance music. Both musicians began their journeys rooted in rock—Blumler on drums and Smith on guitar—but during their teenage years, they gravitated toward electronic music production. Blumler experimented with dubstep-inspired beats, while Smith explored jazz-infused hip hop, before officially joining forces as Prospa in 2013.

Initially focused on deep house, Prospa gradually shifted toward a sound colored by nostalgic rave textures, blending infectious rhythms with contemporary energy. Their breakthrough came in 2018 with the single "Prayer," a track that not only boosted their profile but also played a pivotal role in breathing new life into the iconic Stress Records label. Building upon this success, the duo self-released their debut EP, "Control the Party" (2019), which garnered critical acclaim and helped cement their reputation as authentic torchbearers of the UK’s electronic dance music scene.

Known for their seamless fusion of vintage influences with fresh production, Prospa continues to stand out as innovative voices in electronic music, capturing both the spirit of dance music’s golden era and the pulse of today’s club culture.
