Description
Head to Tustin’s Mess Hall Market for a drive-in screening of Brian De Palma’s 1974 horror-musical cult classic Phantom of the Paradise! Featuring an unforgettable soundtrack by legendary composer Paul Williams—who also stars as villainous record producer/venue owner Swan—Phantom of the Paradise throws a 70s twist on the classic Gaston Leroux tale by adapting the story to the shady world of the music industry. In his search for the perfect act to open his new concert venue The Paradise, Swan is taken by a composition by songwriter Winslow Leach (William Finley), and proceeds to not only steal it for one of his own bands, but ruin Winslow’s life by having him falsely arrested. This sets in motion a chain of events which leads to Winslow becoming horribly disfigured, and hellbent not only for revenge, but to save beautiful singer Phoenix (Jessica Harper) from a terrible fate. Donning a cape and mask, Winslow becomes the Phantom, haunting the rafters of The Paradise and waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike...
