Celebrate Brazilian Independence Day a day early with a night of Brazil’s rich and sophisticated harmonies inspired by the post-bossa nova movement. You can expect music from London-based Mario Bakuna, a Brazilian composer, arranger, singer and guitarist, who takes inspiration from the greats of Afro-Brazilian music, jazz, bossa nova and samba. In addition, there will also be music from Songlines nominated Ayom, bringing a mix of folk music influences from Brazil, Cape Verde and Angola and blending the century old traditions with the black and rhythmical language of lusophone cultures. An unforgettable night of extraordinary music!
