Looking at artists from different backgrounds such as British street artist BANKSY and American portrait painter Kehinde Wiley (who was commissioned to paint Barack Obamaโs official presidential portrait), we will examine the importance of art in holding a mirror up to society. Other artists that will be discussed include Dana Schutz, who was recently included in the group exhibition โRadical Figuresโ at the Whitechapel Gallery in London.
