The Frida Cinema presents Nicolas Winding Refn's stylish neo-noir Drive-In Dine-Out Tuesdays at Tustin's Mess Hall Market! Gorgeously atmospheric, unapologetically stylish, and paced like a slowly unfolding dream peppered with explosions of action and violence, Drive stars Ryan Gosling as a man who works as a movie stuntman by day, and a wheel man-for-hire for the criminal underworld of Los Angeles by night. His life is free of complications until he begins to fall for his neighbor Irene (Carey Mulligan), leading him down an increasingly dangerous path. Elevated by a pitch-perfect synth soundtrack, stunning cinematography by Newton Thomas Sigel, and fantastic performances by Gosling and supporting players Bryan Cranston, Oscar Isaac, Christina Hendricks, Ron Perlman, and scene-stealing, award-winning Albert Brooks, Drive is a mesmerizing work of art that took home the Best Director award from the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
