Experience Description.
Is our universe unique, or are there others like it? While parallel universes sometimes make an appearance in popular culture, science fiction uses these ideas as a framework to tell human stories. But the true nature of reality is forebodingly alien and impossibly strange - when science takes the lead, humans inevitably struggle to find their place within it. What could alternate universes possibly look like? How could they even be detectable from ours? What scientific grounds do we have for even speculating about such things? This fever talk will take you back and forth through the history of our universe, guided by cutting-edge research, searching for answers to these questions
