Description
Fourteen successful seasons as a dramatic text of one of the most representative works of French literature. Jean Valjean is sentenced to five years in prison for stealing a loaf of bread, which ends up turning into nineteen years of imprisonment. After leaving prison, Jean Valjean has become a distrustful and insensitive being, rejected by society again and again, until people like Monsignor Myriel cross his path, who will make him understand that if he leaves behind the rancor he may have a chance to change his destiny. Jean gets his life back on track, but it's not enough to want to be better, this small mistake will make Inspector Javert, a dog of prey, stalk him for years. This play depicts the hopeless reality of the lower classes of Paris in the mid-19th century, a time plagued by revolts and social changes.
