Description
This yearโ€™s edition of NYC Winter Jazzfest will see four upcoming UK jazz acts perform at Le Poisson Rouge. This yearโ€™s acts include. Kokoroko, Moses Boyd, Poppy Ajudha and Sarathy Korwar. Celebrating Detroitโ€™s jazz history and the legacy of late trumpeter Marcus Belgrave, the evening begins with a conversation led by author and historian Mark Stryker on the rich history of Detroit Jazz. Youโ€™ll get to see and hear the likes of Ron Carter, Louis Hayes and Sheila Jordan joined with Detroit-born pianist Johnny Oโ€™Neal. Marcus Belgraveโ€™s protรฉgรฉs will be closing the festival once again, in the ensemble โ€œTaking it Forwardโ€ with Robert Hurst, Karriem Riggins, Ali Jackson, JD Allen, Dwight Adams, Theo Croker, Greg Glassman, Kevin Sholar, and joined by Kassa Overall!
