Description
Watch a classic horror film in an incredibly special way: with live organ accompaniment. The film, Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror, is a 1922 German 'Expressionist' horror film and is an unauthorized adaptation of Dracula by novelist Bram Stoker. Stoker's heirs sued over the adaptation, and a court ruling ordered that all copies of the film be destroyed. However, a few prints of Nosferatu survived, and the film is now regarded as a masterpiece of early cinema. In accordance with the practice of the 1920s (before recorded sound was introduced into movies), the βsoundtrackβ of the film is provided live by organist Parker Ramsay. This is your opportunity to enjoy the high artistry of both film-maker and organist.
