The Jazz Cafe celebrate the life and times of Gil Scott-Heron in the company of his former bandmates and friends. The Revolution Will Be Live is the critically acclaimed, festival-headlining show lovingly put together by Kim Jordan, Gilβs musical director for over 30 years, and his protΓ©gΓ© Malik Al Nasir. Kim Jordan, who can be heard on many of Gilβs albums, including; βSpiritsβ, βTales of the Amnesia Expressβ and Gilβs last album βIβm new hereβ, will be performing a celebrated set of Gil Scott-Heronβs finest works with full live band and Washington DC vocalist KaβBa as Gil. Malik & The OGβs will open the show with a Gil-inspired spoken word set. Don't miss it!
