Synopsis
September 1940, Pétain's regime is taking shape. Henri Marre, 49, arrives in Vichy penniless, with no contacts, far from his wife and children. He sees in the new administration the opportunity to finally find the place he deserves. In his suitcase, his self-published political treatise, Notre Salut, in which he defends his patriotic convictions and his engineering methods. His credo: "to gain efficiency" to lift France out of the rout. But perhaps Henri is above all trying to flee his own downfall…
