Description
Become an undercover detective for a couple of hours and see Salinas in a way you haven't before. This is a self-guided outdoor game, something between a scavenger hunt and an escape room played on real streets. You walk from place to place, passing landmarks like Salinas Recreation Center, National Steinbeck Center, New Harvest Salinas and TheFoxTheaterSalinas. At each stop you search the spot around you for clues, solve a puzzle or two, and pick up strange facts about the place you're standing in and about real secret societies and conspiracies. The story: a secret society called The Kingmakers has been picking leaders and staging scandals from the shadows for centuries. A whistleblower just leaked their next move, and you're the one who has to stop it. The Questo app on your phone guides the whole investigation through 12 chapters. You decode symbols, intercept messages and slowly work out who is behind it all. Play with friends, with your partner or alone. Start whenever you want and go at your own pace.
