Description
Having voiced an entire generation and part of the next at the helm of Manel, Guillem Gisbert began seeking his own with Balla la masurca!, his first solo album, released in the autumn of 2024. Although search and exploration have always been part of the identity of the band he shares with Roger Padilla, Martí Maymó, and Arnau Vallvé, Gisbert's metamorphosis as the sole visible face of his project opened a new parallel dimension in his career.
Two years after the release of Balla la masurca!, Gisbert continues to seek new angles from which to observe the pop song. Increasingly whimsical and, at the same time, increasingly recognizable: after all, his irony and wordplay are now an integral part of the collective imagination of Catalan music. Guillem Gisbert will expand his particular musical and narrative universe with his second solo album, to be released in November and presented on 4 March at Paral·lel 62 in Barcelona.
