Description
Dare to confront the documented reality of serial crime at the world's first and only exhibition entirely focused on serial killers. This massive true-crime blockbuster brings together over 2,100 authentic artifacts from around the globe—featuring 1,100 more items, 900 detailed captions, and 400 illustrative panels compared to its previous European iterations.
The collection includes rare original artifacts such as Jeffrey Dahmer's glasses and the chainsaw used by the Kansas City Butcher, alongside evidence from history's most notorious cases, including John Wayne Gacy and the Monster of Florence. The Chicago edition also features expanded sections exploring the city's dark criminal history, including dedicated sections on H.H. Holmes and John Wayne Gacy. Through authentic artifacts, documented case files, immersive rooms, and selected historical reconstructions—including those connected to Jack the Ripper—the exhibition offers a completely unfiltered, educational exploration of the serial killer phenomenon. Not fiction, not dramatization, but real evidence, all while deeply honoring the names and lives of the victims.

- Great experience! I will say it’s a lot of walking and standing and also it is a lot of reading that you have to take in. Very worth it!
- Great exhibit! Interesting artifacts and interactive displays. Staff was incredibly friendly and informative. Definitely worth a trip!! To properly see the entire exhibit, plan on staying more than a couple of hours. Housed at a cool spot in Chicago.
- There was so much information and it was fascinating. Would love to go again.
- if it wasn't so far away, I would go again! (from Kansas City, Mo)
- This was a unique experience and I would recommend it to anyone interested in serial killer lore.
- Amazing! Lots of reading but very cool to see
- Very well done!
- Extremely thorough and very well done. There was nothing that was too “in your face.” If I didn't want to see something or I felt it was too graphic for me then I just moved along. It was interesting to read some facts about each one that I wouldn’t have expected. I greatly appreciated the benches every now and then to sit and rest my back! It was great to have the many data boards at the end which I was very surprised by many of those numbers. This was a very well researched exposition.
- This was amazingly put together with so many amazing pieces of non-conventional history!
- Wow, there was a lot to see and read. Only suggestion would be to turn up the lights just a bit. We had to use our phone lights to see some things clearly and read some of the info. But truly a lot of material and information!
- Quite an expansive display of materials. Great information and pictures. I was there for over three hours and could have stayed longer. Well done.
