Surrounded by the hustle and bustle of Manchester’s lively shops and bars, Manchester Art Gallery is a peaceful haven of creativity in the heart of the city centre. With almost 13,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures and photographs on display, plus a similar number in the craft and design collection, this really is a great way to spend a few hours. During your visit, you'll encounter 17th century silver, traditional dress from 1600 to the present day and their world-famous Pre-Raphaelite paintings. Not to be missed!

- Opening times: Monday 11am–5pm (from 1 Oct 2018), Tuesday-Sunday 10am–5pm - including bank holiday Mondays. For the first Wednesday of every month the gallery will stay open until 9pm
