Description
Triángulo de Amor Bizarro have confirmed a new tour to present Mi Catedral, their upcoming album, which will be released on May 15th. The Galician band will perform on November 13th at Stage Live in Bilbao and on March 12th, 2027 at La Riviera in Madrid.
After celebrating their 20 years of career with a singular tour in which the audience decided each night which albums would be played in full live, Triángulo de Amor Bizarro now opens a new chapter. That revisiting of their own history allowed them to look back, recover less familiar songs and understand from a different place everything they had built: one of the most recognisable and stimulating catalogues in Spanish independent rock.
Since their self-titled debut in 2007, the band has made noise, distortion and melodic tension a form of identity, thanks to albums such as Año Santo, Victoria Mística, Salve Discordia and SED, with which they have built their own language between noise pop electricity, post-punk urgency and a very particular way of looking at the present.
Mi Catedral arrives marked by a new configuration of the band, now definitively a trio in a kind of refoundation that has allowed Rodrigo Caamaño, Isa Cea and Rafael Mallo to approach noise, melody and tension from a renewed perspective in which all three carry the same creative weight.
In this new work, the Galician band expands their sonic territory towards a place where the mythical, the political and the intimate coexist without hierarchies. Recorded in the studio that Isa and Rodrigo have in Boiro, the album seeks a more physical and organic sound, reducing digital processes and returning prominence to the gesture of playing together. The first single — Sacrificio — brings back their most noise pop side, but the album also opens new paths in their discography, incorporating elements such as piano and string arrangements in a record that promises to be more luminous than SED but just as uncomfortable and sharp as its predecessors.
