Description
When classical music meets Hollywood, sound worlds full of nostalgia, emotion and great stories are created.

The programme “Echoes of Hollywood” is dedicated to the fascinating connection between European concert tradition and the dream factory. Composers like Erich Wolfgang Korngold, one of the most influential film composers of the classical Hollywood era, brought late Romantic sound splendor and operatic passion to the big screen. Also works by Samuel Barber, whose music is famous for its lyrical intensity, as well as by Fritz Kreisler, the legendary Viennese violinist and master of elegant salon music, reflect that colourful sound world that has shaped both the concert hall and film history.

From 5:15 PM we invite you to a welcome drink – time to arrive and get into the mood for the evening. The concert begins at 6 PM.
