I’m accused of exaggerating and making things up in my pleas, of opining without being informed. And of laughing at things I’m supposed to take seriously… Honestly, I plead guilty to all of it.
But I don’t care, because every night I keep stepping up to the stand to tell my best version of the facts, and my most controversial opinions, with a single argument in my favour: the laughter of the audience. So tonight, the truth doesn’t matter, only whether you decide to acquit me.
There comes a time in the show when we switch roles. There’s an extra hearing where anyone who wants to take part puts their case in writing: a couple’s argument, a conflict with a friend, something you disagree with or want to question… Then the rest of the audience and I will be the ones to pass sentence.
The session is now open. Are you ready to see how I lose the plot?
