August 🎺🎙
20, 21 & 22 August - Natasha Oong | Special Show
The Enchanting Songstress
Natasha, affectionately known as “Oong” in Thailand, was introduced to Thai audiences in 2009 by Warner Music Group as the lead vocalist of the jazz ensemble Mellow Motif. From the outset, her voice stood apart—clear, composed, and instinctively musical.
Over four formative years as an active recording and performing artist, Natasha established herself as Thailand’s only jazz vocalist with a sustained international presence. She has performed widely across the region, earning recognition for her musical integrity and quietly confident artistry.
Renowned for her crystal-clear tone and refined sense of rhythm and phrasing, Natasha is particularly admired for her interpretations of Brazilian music, where subtlety and timing are essential. Her approach is unhurried and precise, allowing the music to speak with natural grace.
In an intimate listening room, Natasha’s presence invites focus rather than spectacle. Her performances are attentive, restrained, and deeply personal—an ideal fit for the quiet intensity and close connection that define the Capitol Jazz Club experience.
28 & 29 August - The Carpio Brothers | Special Show
Jazz Beyond the Standard
Internationally acclaimed Hong Kong jazz musicians Bernard and Chris Carpio are joined by an outstanding rhythm section for an evening that moves effortlessly between straight-ahead jazz and groove-led jazz funk.
Long regarded as leading figures on Hong Kong’s jazz scene, the Carpio brothers have developed the kind of musical rapport that only comes from a lifetime of performing together. With Bernard on saxophone and Chris on piano and keyboards, the quartet brings warmth, swing and deep groove to a repertoire shaped by expressive improvisation, refined musicianship and the joy of playing in the moment.

September🎺🎙
4 & 5 September - The Anthony Trio feat Fraser Smith
International Jazz Trio
Led by Australian drummer and vocalist Anthony Howe, the trio features UK saxophonist Fraser Smith. With decades of experience across the international jazz scene, the musicians bring a broad repertoire spanning swing, jazz standards, New Orleans influences, ballads and contemporary interpretations. Their performances balance arranged material with space for improvisation, shaped by a strong sense of rhythm and close interplay.
11 & 12 September - George Washingmachine & Clare O’Meara with The Anthony Howe Trio
Jazz, Swing & Gypsy Jazz
Australian jazz violinist and vocalist George Washingmachine joins multi-instrumentalist Clare O'Meara for an evening of jazz shaped by swing, manouche, blues and original compositions. Based in Sydney, the duo has toured extensively across Europe, the USA and Asia, performing on violin, accordion and other stringed instruments.
17, 18 & 19 September - YolanDa Brown
Award-Winning Jazz Saxophonist
YolanDa Brown is one of Britain's leading contemporary jazz saxophonists. A two-time MOBO Award winner for Best Jazz Act, she has performed at major jazz festivals, concert halls, and clubs across Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean.
Rooted in jazz while drawing naturally from soul and reggae, Brown's music combines strong melodies, rhythmic groove, and an instinctive approach to improvisation. As a bandleader and composer, she has established a distinctive voice that is contemporary while remaining firmly connected to the jazz tradition.
Brown has performed with Jools Holland's Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Diana Krall, The Temptations, Billy Ocean, Dave Stewart, and Bill Laurance of Snarky Puppy. Whether leading her own ensemble or appearing as a guest artist, she brings warmth, musicality, and an engaging stage presence to every performance.
Yolanda is also a passionate advocate for music education. In 2024, she founded Soul Mama in London, a grassroots venue supporting emerging artists and celebrating live music.
25 & 26 September - Damon Brown
Trumpet & Jazz
Damon Brown is a British trumpeter and composer whose work draws from the hard bop tradition, with a focus on original composition and improvisation. A Guildhall School of Music graduate, he has performed with Benny Golson, Dave Liebman, Claire Martin and other leading jazz artists, and has appeared at venues including Ronnie Scott's, the London Jazz Festival and Blue Note Japan. His work has also been recognised by the All-Party Parliamentary Jazz Awards, where he received the Best Live Jazz Group award as part of his ensemble.
