1958, Paris. The post-war years. For many years, Valerie La Voyante has hosted a reception at the Louvre for all the important art historians. Champagne is served, and waiters in fancy attire circulate with appetizers. No one from high society wants to miss this event.
Art-loving ladies and gentlemen gather to admire the art. Everyone is celebrating exuberantly—until Madame La Voyante reveals the shocking news that the famous “Mona Lisa” has been forged. The crowd is stunned. The police are immediately involved to get to the bottom of this case.
