Description
"Acelerado" is Rodrigo Lussich's first solo monologue: a show that goes full throttle and whose aim is for people to laugh out loud without stop. As in basketball, the ball here must keep bouncing; not touching the ground means that the guy doesn't drop the pace for a second. He delivers a dynamic, breathless performance where anecdotes mix: from a very hippie childhood among artists from Uruguay and Brazil, his move to Argentina, to his current life as a showman on TV, theatre and social media.
A small-town adolescence full of ups and downs, his beginnings in the scene and a key point that anyone can relate to: unfiltered and with very crazy humour, Lussich talks about how he came out of the closet and his first steps in the LGTBQ scene. His first girlfriends, gay flings and how his family experienced it, which is quite a story. The years passing by, travels, being an artist, amazing anecdotes and the comedian's greatest talent: being a born storyteller who dives you straight into the heart of it, with constant punchlines, unexpected plot twists and that closeness you notice as soon as the show starts. The person on stage is just another member of the gang, the neighbour, the mate or the cousin of anyone; you're not going to see an untouchable Argentine TV celebrity, but a normal guy who makes you feel that his struggles are everyone's, here or on the other side of the world.
