With Högni
Join Icelandic legend Högni for an intimate mid-day performance inside Ingjaldshólskirkja, a historic church just a short walk from the festival grounds.
Högni first rose to prominence in 2007 with his indie rock band Hjaltalín and has since become one of Iceland's most celebrated contemporary composers. His work as a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter with the electronic group GusGus earned him an international following, and his 2017 solo debut Two Trains brought together string orchestra, male chorus, and electronics in a single ambitious work.
The setting is as remarkable as the artist. Ingjaldshóll is one of Iceland's storied historical sites, once home to a settlement manor and regional assembly. The church standing there today was built in 1903 and is believed to be the oldest concrete church in the country, possibly in the world.
This will be a 90 minute experience in the early afternoon of Saturday, 15 August.
Only 80 tickets available.
