🌟 For the first time, BIME is hosting an international academic research meeting focused on the music and creative industries. The Faculty of Communication Sciences at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya is organizing the first edition of the International Congress on Research in Creative Industries (CIIIC), bringing together researchers, professionals, and academics from around the world to reflect on the challenges of music as a transformative force in Spanish-speaking markets.

Description
Over the course of two days, the congress will offer a space to share knowledge, debate innovative ideas, and present applied research addressing key topics such as digitalization, sustainability, professionalization of the sector, and new forms of cultural consumption. A unique opportunity to connect academia with industry and contribute to a space of collective reflection and creation! As part of CIIIC, a collaboration has been established with the Revista de Comunicación (Q1 Cultural Studies, SJR) to promote academic dissemination. Papers presented at the congress that align with the journal's themes may be submitted to the February 2026 call. Articles will be peer-reviewed, and if accepted, will be published in the September 2026 issue.
