🌟 As if founding a political party or a union, Zac Sokolow, Jake Faulkner, and Nicholas Baker came together one day to do what they love, under a name that truly represents them: LA LOM, short for The Los Angeles League of Musicians. While their official journey began in the summer of 2022 with the release of their debut EP, the spirit of LA LOM reaches back six or seven decades. Their instrumental sound, evoking artists like Hermanos Gutiérrez, Pachyman, or even Khruangbin, draws deeply from the diverse musical roots of 1950s and ’60s Los Angeles. Listening to them feels like stumbling upon a timeless radio station from another era. This fall, LA LOM will release their first full-length album, The Los Angeles League of Musicians, and on November 9th, they’ll bring their boleros, chichas, and hard rock-infused cumbias to LAV 2.
