NYAC Walks: The History of Elmhurst

NYAC Walks: The History of Elmhurst

From its inception in 1652 as a suburb of New Amsterdam, Elmhurst has served as a microcosm of Queens, exemplifying its independent spirit and struggle to be recognized on its own merits. Led by Linda Fisher, this tour will trace the development of Elmhurst from its participation in the Flushing Remonstrance to its current renown as the most ethnically diverse area on the planet. After the tour, you'll head to a local eatery for some food & drinks!
