⭐🆕SPECIAL About Berlanga🆕⭐

About Berlanga is an audiovisual project with a digital and contemporary approach, taking as its starting point the cinematic universe of Berlanga and his soundtracks. It builds a critical sound and visual landscape centered on nostalgia, collective memory, and remembrance.

The piece begins with three of the most iconic soundtracks by Miguel Asins Arbó: Plácido, El Verdugo, and Bienvenido Mr. Marshall, offering a reinterpretation through musical deconstruction and electronic processing by sound artist Edu Comelles. The result presents a soundscape where the noise of magnetic tapes and vintage speakers converses with musical reveries that trigger memories—melodies that, more than just soundtracks, have become part of a shared cultural imagination.

Sergi Palau, visual artist, brings his own creative vision by selecting images and sequences from the same three works. Though digitally processed, these visuals aim to craft a new narrative without straying from the social message of the originals. Together with the musical piece, they transport Berlanga's universe into a new and poetic dimension.
