Description
Ian Devaney, Aidan Noell, and Alex MacKay, better known as Nation of Language, are a trio from New York who, almost five years ago, captivated international audiences with their debut album Introduction, Presence (2020). Their passionate blend of new wave, post-punk, and shoegaze quickly gained attention. Following the critical success of their debut, they released A Way Forward in 2021, which expanded their fan base even further. In 2023, they released Strange Disciple, a meticulously crafted album that represents an even deeper exploration of their signature sound and earned them the coveted #1 spot on Rough Trade’s album of the year list.
