About the Artists
Ara Malikian, a virtuoso violinist of Lebanese origin and Armenian descent, is an unstoppable force in music. His impeccable technique and passionate style blend classical virtuosity with rock, flamenco, jazz, and world music influences. His tour “Ara”, presented at Pirineos Sur, is a tribute to his son, reflecting the emotional journey of fatherhood. According to Malikian, it's “a sonic journey through emotions, motherhood, childhood, and everything lived and learned.”
Maika Makovski, a Spanish singer, songwriter, and actress, is known for her powerful stage presence and eclectic musical style, blending alternative rock, indie, and sound art. With a successful career in Spain and internationally, she has collaborated with artists like John Parish and composed for theater and film. Her intense and versatile discography reflects a unique, uncategorizable artistic identity. Makovski also hosted La Hora Musa, reinforcing her commitment to live music and alternative culture.
