The Films
1. Living in Delusionville
In a world that's becoming more aware of social oppression like racism and genderism, the overarching oppression that is capitalistic imperialism is often forgotten. Artist Ron English creates dynamic art, which demands dialog and provokes action. He explores the impact of corporate messaging through art and its antidote: noncommercial, thought-provoking public art.
2. The Underbelly Project
The Underbelly Project chronicles one of the most legendary street art galleries in the world—one that only the artists invited to participate ever saw, until now. Logan Hicks brought 103 street artists together to paint an abandoned underground space in the NYC subway system, a highly illegal and risky undertaking. Hicks poses the question: “Is creating something important enough to you that you’d do it even if no one would see it?”
