Description
Embark on a culinary and cultural adventure with the Peekskill Culture and Food Tour! Immerse yourself in a world of diverse cuisine, where each bite tells a story of flavors and traditions from around the globe. Peekskill is one of NY's best-kept secrets & oldest societies going back to the 1600s. Peekskill is home to an art community, cafes, rooftop bars, vintage bookstores, farmers' markets, festivals, music, & a huge foodie culture. We are as eclectic as we are diverse in food, culture, and history. We want you to taste & experience what makes Peekskill great while exposing you to over 500+ years of US & NY history. Your tour includes a combination of 10 food and non-food indoor and outdoor stops. Participants will enjoy bite-sized food, desserts, coffee, and alcohol drink samples, varying between Latino, Carib, Asian, Southern, & American culture. As the tour is a mix of food & non-food stops, we will visit bars, bakeries, dessert parlors, & cafes, as well as artist lofts, street art, boutiques, bookstores, & markets. All food & drinks are included. Food samples & stops can vary & are chosen each weekend based on what is happening downtown, so come hungry and ready to explore! More than just food & drinks, you will learn about Peekskill's rich history spanning close to 500 years through random, fun, & surprising facts! This will be a 2-mile walk with minimal seating or tables on flat and uneven pavement. The tour starts at 11:30 am and ends a 1:30 pm. The tour is rain or shine and is great for solo travelers, corporate groups, and private groups, so come with comfy shoes, ID, an empty tummy, ready to mingle, & we'll do the rest. Book your spot now and get ready to indulge in a feast for the senses!
