Description
American classical guitarist Jamie Monck performs the Sonata by Stephen Goss, Bosba's the sun also rises, and Catalan Peasant with Guitar by Julian Anderson, and l’imagérie de nos pensées (8 preludes for solo guitar) by Rafael Marino Arcaro. The program explores the idea of resonance through the literal resonance and space of the sounds created, but also through historical resonance and references to pieces of the past. Music by Beethoven, Debussy, Ravel, Scarlatti, Mompou, and others are quoted, reworked, and modified in fresh ways.
