👫 GoCars hold a maximum of 2 people. Prices are per GoCar - not per person.
🧑‍🦳 Driver must be 21 years or older to rent and must provide a major credit card and valid driver's license at check-in. A physical driver's license is required; no photocopies. An international license is not necessary for foreign customers.
👶 Passengers must be 4 years or older, with small children required to fit safely into DOT-approved helmets. A motorcycle license is not needed to operate the vehicle.
📝 All renters must read, understand, and sign a liability release and waiver form.
💳 A $500 security deposit will be held on the customer's credit card on the rental day. With CDW or SLI insurance, the deposit is $300. The deposit is released upon return of the GoCar.
📏 For safety and comfort, maximum height is 6'4" (1.9m) and combined weight limit is 500 lbs (226.8 kg) for two passengers.
🚗 You can stop along the way and set your own pace.
🛣️ We recommend staying on the route, which includes several fun detours.
🛵 Vehicles are controlled with a motorcycle-style handle, throttle, and hand brakes. The 3-wheeled cars seat two and have a lockable trunk for your belongings. Their small size makes parking easy, especially in San Francisco.
🚀 The car goes up to 35 mph, with most roads on the tour being residential or in parks, allowing for an average speed of 30 mph or less.
🌉 You cannot cross the Golden Gate Bridge, but the tour navigates to Fort Point, where the bridge soars 200 feet above. Pedestrian access to the bridge span is possible from the car park at the vantage point.
🛡️ Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is an optional insurance that limits liability in case of an accident. It is non-refundable. If purchased, the deposit for renting a GoCar is $300 instead of $500.
