🚗 Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is a non-refundable optional insurance that limits liability in case of accident. With CDW, the deposit for renting a GoCar is USD$300 instead of USD$500.
👥 GoCars hold a maximum of 2 people. Prices are per GoCar, not per person.
🌉 The tour navigates to Fort Point where the Golden Gate Bridge soars 200 feet above. Pedestrian access to the bridge span is possible from the car park at the bridge vantage point.
📝 All renters must be able to read, understand, and sign a liability release and waiver form.
🏁 You set your own pace. The car knows your location, and you can park anywhere (motorcycle or car parking) for as long as you want. The car will resume guiding you once you start driving again.
🏍️ Controlled with a motorcycle-style handle, throttle, and hand brakes. The 3-wheeled cars seat two, have a lockable trunk, and their small size makes parking easy.
💳 On the rental day, a $500 security deposit is held on the customer’s credit card. If CDW or SLI insurance is selected, the deposit is $300. The security deposit is released when the GoCar is returned.
📏 Maximum height is 6'4" (1.9m) and maximum combined weight for two passengers is 500 lbs (226.8 kg).
👶 Passengers must be 4 years or older. Small children must fit into DOT-approved helmets. No motorcycle license is required to operate the vehicle.
🌐 Foreign language options are available in French, Spanish, Italian, and German.
🚗 Drivers in San Francisco typically drive at an average speed of 30 mph or less.
🧑‍💼 Driver must be 21 years or older, provide a major credit card, and have a valid driver’s license at check-in. A physical driver’s license is required (no photocopies). International licenses are not necessary for foreign customers.
