Description
Like Greece in antiquity, Italy was the mother of the arts for the modern Europe that emerged after the Great Discoveries. From the Renaissance in painting and architecture to the Baroque period in music, Italy's influence is immense. It was in the peninsula that these violins were created, gradually replacing the viols, and it's only fair to associate Stradivari, Amati and Guarneri, luthiers who became as famous as their composers, with the glory of Vivaldi, Corelli and Boccherini. The Toulouse Chamber Orchestra has chosen to bring together the greatest Italian Baroque composers in a Program that allows us to appreciate the full extent of their inventiveness.
