Description
The new year is off to a fun start! With the good-humored culture clash comedy "Next Goal Wins" about a US soccer coach who reaches his limits in a tropical island paradise. His job is to get the local team in shape for the World Cup qualifiers, but with plenty of beach, sun and palm trees, this is no easy task: The American Samoa team are infamous for their brutal 31-0 defeat at FIFA 2001. When the next World Cup qualifiers are just around the corner, the likeable and chaotic team hires Thomas Rongen (Michael Fassbender), a former successful coach at the absolute low point of his career. He is supposed to turn the worst soccer team in the world into winners. In order for the unconventional bunch to become a real team in time, they all have to rise above themselves, because only together can they achieve their big dream of scoring.
