Eclectic Strings was PHENOMENAL!! I thoroughly enjoyed Vivaldi’s Four Seasons (played to perfection) & the poems they read to introduce each season. The musos seemed like such lovely people! But when they played their encore piece - a spectacular arrangement of Waltzing Matilda - it brought tears to my eyes AND my husband’s. And with all of this set within the soft glow of hundreds of candles in the beautiful historic town hall… it all added up to a wonderfully lovely night to remember.

The music and performance was fantastic. A great choice of venue to match. Candlelight provided the perfect ambiance. The only feedback we provide was that in the back section we could not hear when the performers were speaking, although they were using a microphone. Others around us commented similarly after the performance ended.

What ticket types are available?
Front Row (best visibility), plus Zone A (great visibility), Zone B (good visibility), Zone C (slightly restricted visibility) and Zone D (restricted visibility).
Can I buy tickets at the venue?
No, tickets must be purchased in advance through the app or website (www.feverup.com).
Are companion cards accepted?
Yes, companion and carer cards are accepted at all Fever events — please contact us for a ticket.
Is there an age requirement for the event?
All guests must be 8 or older. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Where can I find my ticket?
In the "Tickets" section of the Fever app, and also in your purchase confirmation email (QR code).
Can I transfer my ticket to another person?
Yes, you can transfer your ticket to any other Fever account at no extra cost by tapping "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket in the Fever app. Contact us with your ticket ID if you need help.
Can I change my ticket or get a refund?
Date and/or time changes are allowed up to 48 hours before the start, subject to availability (include your ticket ID). Tickets are non-refundable, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
How long does the experience last, and when should I arrive?
Around 60 minutes. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start to be assigned a seat in your purchased zone; latecomers cannot be admitted once the concert has begun.
Is the experience indoors or outdoors?
Indoors, with assigned seating.
Where does the experience take place?
Hobart Town Hall - 50 Macquarie St, Hobart TAS 7000. The concert is held in "The Ballroom" on Level 1.
How do I get to the venue?
The venue is accessible by car and public transport.
Is there food served?
No, there are no drinks or snacks available at the venue.
Is parking available?
Street parking and paid parking are available nearby; there's also a carpark behind Hobart Town Hall for drop-offs, accessible from Elizabeth Street.
Can I bring animals?
Animals are not allowed, except service animals.
Does this venue have disability access?
Yes. There is ramp access at the Macquarie Street entrance, and normally a lift (also reachable via the rear Elizabeth Street carpark) to the Level 1 Ballroom, where wheelchair seating is available in all zones, plus 2 accessible parking spaces in the Hobart Town Hall carpark. Note: our most recent venue listing flags this lift as temporarily out of service — please contact us ahead of time to confirm current accessibility and arrange wheelchair assistance.
Can I take pictures or use my phone during the performance?
Phones must be on silent throughout. Photos and videos can only be taken during the final piece, without flash, as indicated by the musicians.
Do I have to wear a mask?
It's not required, but encouraged; this policy is subject to change.
What is "Snapshot by Candlelight"?
An optional photo experience in a dedicated area, exclusively for guests who purchase it, with one printed Polaroid-style photo included. It can be bought on site by card only while stock lasts (online buyers get priority); sessions happen before or after the concert and prints must be collected on site, as they can't be kept for later.
