Description
Come and express yourself with the art of Sumi-e (or Suibokuga)– an East Asian art form that has been practiced for over a thousand years and uses an ink wash-painting technique. Using the fewest possible strokes, Sumi-e aims to depict the spirit or essence of an object or scene, seeing through the superficiality of outward appearance. During this contemplative class, you'll begin with the basics of ink-wash painting. Ink, brushes and calligraphy paper are all provided, no prior experience is needed. Don't miss out!
