Description
Explore the archaeological complex of Trajan's Market in Rome, once the commercial center of the city during the Roman Imperial Age. Start your journey back in time with a 25-minute video that provides a reconstruction of Trajan's Market during the height of Imperial Rome. Then, explore the site at your own pace. Learn about the various forums that served as trading and meeting points in the city, including: Forum of Caesar, Forum of Augustus, Forum of Nerva and Templum Pacis. You will also see the ruins of a 17th century cistern, further proof of the variety of functions that the area has had over the centuries.
