Learn how silk changed Valencia forever. When we speak of Valencia's silk era, we speak of its golden years, when the city flourished. The Gremi de Velluters, one of the main producers of silk and velvet in Valencia, set up its factory in the 15th century, in the same building that today is the Silk Museum of Valencia. Here, you can learn all their secrets: how silk was discovered, how they used to breed the species of worm that produces silk, how they created this elaborate and luxurious fabric together and who was wearing it at the time.
