The Stadium de Toulouse, also known as the Stadium Municipal, is the city’s main sports venue. Opened in 1937 and extensively renovated, particularly for UEFA Euro 2016, it is located on the Île du Ramier in the heart of the Garonne River. With a capacity of around 33,000 seats, it hosts Toulouse FC matches as well as major sporting events, including international football and rugby fixtures.
