Ferries depart from Pier 33 throughout the day, with the first departure around 9:00 AM and last return around 6:30 PM. Night tours offer a uniquely atmospheric experience. Allow about 2.5-3 hours for the entire round-trip experience.

Alcatraz is only accessible by ferry from Pier 33 (Alcatraz Landing) on San Francisco's Embarcadero. Public transit via MUNI F-line streetcar stops nearby. The PIER 39 parking garage is within walking distance. There is no parking at Pier 33.
