Montmorency Park National Historic Site

Strategically perched atop the Côte de la Montagne in Old Quebec, this historic park has witnessed centuries of political history. Formerly the seat of the Canadian Parliament from 1841 to 1866, it hosted the famous Quebec Conference of 1864 that led to Confederation. Transformed into an urban park after the fire of 1883, it offers spectacular views of the Saint Lawrence River.
