The castle has been a landmark and symbol for Örebro for many centuries, providing the city with a beautiful silhouette. Of course, there is more to the castle than just a pretty facade. Our historic king, Gustav Vasa made Sweden a Heritage Kingdom at a meeting at Örebro Castle, and our county governor had her residence within the castle walls.
