Washington Square Arch
The Washington Square Arch is a stunning marble memorial arch located in Washington Square Park, Lower Manhattan, NYC. It was built in 1891 by Stanford White to honor George Washington's inauguration. The arch features sculptures of George Washington, Fame, Valor, Wisdom, and Justice, and a spiral staircase inside that leads to the roof, offering a panoramic view of Manhattan. It has a fascinating history and is a beloved symbol of New York University.
